Y-Zone has been reaching kids in South Africa for over 20 years. The impact of such interventions has far reaching positive consequences for families, school careers, social connections and nation building. It fills a critical gap in the development stages of a kids life, supporting single parent families, busy moms’ and dads’ and building self-esteem which reaches into all areas of the kids’ lives.

Recently, one of the LAGs in the Greater Durban YMCA held a fun and interesting workshop about permaculture in Kwandengezi, a small community outside Durban.
