Local Action Group

The term and modern concept of “social justice” was coined by Jesuit priest Luigi Taparelli in 1840 based on the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas.

Local Action Groups (LAG’s) are;

Transformational

LAGs are groups where peers are given space to transform themselves from Subjects to Citizens.

Inspirational

We are inspired to motivate our peers by acting with respect for each other, with integrity, and with fearless commitment to change.

Developmental

Acting in local communities through social/corporate partnerships that bring about sustainable impact and change. Our point of departure is through our own decision making process.

Change starts with us!

Environmental

Working together in groups, we scan our local environments, gaining in-depth knowledge of local issues and designing new solutions that affect all aspects of our community life.
